...make me feel fucking crazy.
It just doesn't seem like a good thing when your doctor tells you she will see you in 2 weeks and then calls four days after your pelvic exam and having your blood tests done to see you in the upcoming week instead.
So suffice it to say, I have my worried/anxious face on and I am hoping I can try to get in to see her tomorrow so that I don't have a weekend that causes me to feel nuts.
Hang in there Kimberly...it may be really minor. And...here's a thought as well...if she had someone in the office call to re-schedule you, it may be that she has rescheduled all her appointments for that day.
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well...
Don't sweat it! She's probably just getting you in sooner because there was an opportunity. A lot of doctors really respect PC nominees, and some even go out of their way to be helpful.
ReplyDeleteAs someone with HPV and has dealt with the gyno more in the last two years than she would ever dream of wanting to, I totally understand where you are coming from. The truth is, it could be nothing. Or, it could be something. But there is no use stressing because you'll find out either way right? Now, if you really want to know, you may be able to call your office and ask to speak to a doctor on the phone regarding your results and find out sooner. That's what I did with my original abnormal results ... might not be the best way to go, but a way to alleviate the stress.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you are FINE, but even if there is something slightly abnormal (they'd have you in IMMEDIATELY if it was very serious), just take some comfort in the fact that I currently still have HPV and haven't had a normal pap in two years and have been medically cleared with a slight accommodation ... so, they DO accept people who aren't perfect :)
Crossing my fingers for you.
I called the doctor's office this morning and my doctor's assistant was there and told me it does have to do with my pap being silly in a not funny way... I half expected it since I have been abnormal in the past, but I set up a new appointment for Monday. I guess the upside is all of my blood work is back, so hopefully that at least is all okay when I get the results on Monday.
ReplyDeleteThank you ladies for the support and positive words!
I'm sorry about your pap! I'm getting nervous about mine now. So your new appointment is for a second pap smear?
ReplyDeleteThe new appointment is to go over the result of both the pap and my bloodwork. I may have to go to an actual gyno for a re-test since I had the first one done @ a family care doctor.
ReplyDeleteOh Shit Kimberly! I wish you the very best...I hope the news is positive!
